Winter Solstice Meditation
Find a space where you will be undisturbed. Give yourself at least 21 minutes. Sit comfortably, for you - whether that's in a chair with your feet planted firmly on the ground, or cross-legged with your hips propped up on a bolster. You'll be still for awhile, so ensure you're comfortable.
Inhale, shrug your shoulders towards your ears, exhale lower your shoulder blades down your back.
Close your eyes, or lower your gaze.
Inhale light - inhale the word light, inhale lightness of color, inhale bright white... any combination of light.
Exhale darkness - exhale fog, smoke. Exhale grays and blackness. Exhale cold and emptiness.
Continue to envision lightness on your inhales and exhaling darkness from within for 21 minutes with a natural, unforced breath.
At the end of the time, take 3 deep inhales and exhales. Know that the light in me honors the light in you.
